Community First Credit Union

Community First Credit Union is the largest community based credit union in the Sydney and Central Coast areas. It is also the ninth largest credit union in New South Wales and the 23rd largest Australian credit union in terms of overall assets. Community First Credit Union has hundreds of thousands of members, more than ten financial service stores, and an estimated several hundred-million worth of funds. Community First Credit Union was established in 1959 to serve the employees of the Metropolitan Water, Sewerage, and Drainage Board. In 1974, Community First Credit Union opened several financial service stores in Penrith, Liverpool, St. Mary's, Bankstown, and Eagle Vale. Eventually, Community First Credit Union's membership bond was modified to make its financial stores more accessible to the entire community.

Community First Credit Union offers four main savings and investment options. These are the Christmas Cracker, Money Market, Term Deposits, and Bonus Saver options. The Christmas Cracker option allows you to open a savings account that provides funds for the Holidays. The Money Market option allows you to invest money at market rates without minimum transaction amounts or balance requirements. Community First Credit Union's Term Deposits option enables you to make a term investment at high interest rates. The Bonus Saver option allows you to earn extra interest at very low p.a. in addition to Community First Credit Union's standard savings interest rate.
